Tegel means cement tile. This pack was inspired from Tegel Kunci, a tile factory based in Java, Indonesia founded in 1927. The tiles quickly gained popularity and even at its outset, the factory began supplying tiles to historically significant buildings such as the Keraton (Royal Palace). The graphics are a combination that consists of Indonesian Batik, Art Deco, victorian ornaments and the original form of this art known as Azulejo from Portugal.
