Welcome to this class, where you will learn and master the negative watercolor technique, and with this technique you will paint your imaginary fairy forest.

In this class, you will learn:

• The basics of the negative watercolor technique 
• The basics of 2 color theories
• How to choose your color palette with a color wheel 
• How to paint a fairy forest illustration with negative painting

Why is this class useful?

Not only will you learn the watercolor negative painting technique, but also you will apply it to an original and fairy theme. Usually, this technique is used to paint vegetal or floral backgrounds, but in this class I will show you how to use negative painting to create a dreamy and whimsical scene. So here you can play both with new art skill anda with your imagination. Not only will you paint beautiful illustration for this class project but also you can apply this technique in your art for any other project and different subjects. 

This class is for you if:

• You love learning new techniques for your art
• You would like to learn a new watercolor technique
• You are into imagination and would like to create a fairy illustration
• You are an amateur or professional illustrator
• You are new to watercolors? This technique can be tricky so I think it is better if you would know the basics of watercor painting

Supplies:

• Watercolors 
• Watercolor brushes
• Watercolor paper (cold-pressed or hot-pressed, cotton paper 300g/m2, is always recommended)
• White ink (or another white medium such as marker or pencil) 
• Dip pen or other thin pen, color pencils (not necessary - definitely get creative and experiment if you have some other supplies or ideas that come to you when if it comes to painting details)
• Masking fluid (not necessary)
• Masking tape (not necessary)
• Hair dryer (can be handy but it's not necessary)
