Music Production for Beginners
Genre: eLearning | MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: aac, 48000 Hz
Language: English | VTT | Size: 574 MB | Duration: 51m
This beginners class is the perfect balance of early music theory and practical music production demonstration that will prepare any budding music producer or composer for success.
The class begins with an overview of major and minor keys and lessons on how to identify and use them. This includes a differentiator between individual notes and chords. This then transitions right into the DAW where we will work together on breaking a key into chords, then chords into a melody, then create our first track.
You will learn how to create your own personal melody and how to layer it with the perfect chords. This is the foundation of all music across all genres. You should take this class if you're a music student, if you've just started your music journey, or if you're thinking about entering the world of music production.
Students just need their own DAW to get started. I'll be using Ableton Pro 11, but anything you're use to is perfectly fine. There's no need to spend money until you're absolutely sure that music production is the life you want to choose.
I am an Australian music composer and producer and I've been a teacher for 10 years.
