Suminagashi means "floating ink", it is the ancient art of Japanese paper marbling. It's a meditative art work that requires focus and patience, but it's also very rewarding and fun, because you get to see how inks turn into something so delicate and beautiful. As you can see, it's super fun, and it's all hand made from start to finish. What I present to you today is a collection of high res scans of marbled papers I've been working on these past few weeks. This pack includes 65 different marbled backgrounds that would be perfect for anything from a website or a banner to any kind of paper stationery, posters, postcards, notebooks, business cards, invitations, etc. I've also designed a few scarves, iPhone cases, and a couple of clutches using the same marble patterns. So it's really up to you how to use them, they would look great on anything you can think of. The possibilities are endless! The sizes of the files are mostly 6000 x 4000 pixels, but some are smaller (5500 x 3800) and some are larger (6500 x 4600).
