Bryan Leach's main idea behind Hank Drum was to capture the natural relaxing and meditative tones of this absolutely gorgeous sounding instrument. As a composer, he wanted it to be playable with a multi-sampled approach, along with a handful of varying techniques.

But this library is much more than that! As with all Audio Imperia libraries, Hank Drum also is a powerful sound design tool. By using a single sonic source, the Hank Drum in this case, Bryan created an impressive variety of unexpected sounds from an unsuspecting instrument. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.

The library consists of well over 1000 samples, 75 sound design presets, and 5 traditional instrument presets. The traditional instruments all come with three mic positions (recorded with Neuman KM184's and a SoundDelux U95), that you can mix to your liking:

•Bottom
•Brush
•Hand Dynamic Mutes
•Hand Open
•Percussion

The 75 sound design presets are split into three categories:
•Prepared (48 presets)
•Synth Filtered (5 presets)
•Synth Pad (22 presets)

The two layer Kontakt engine allows you to seamlessly blend any of the traditional or sound design presets with each other. In combination with the three independent (Global, Layer A, Layer B) sonic options are endless.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
•Hank Drum requires the full version of Kontakt 5.5.2.880 or higher (the patches will not run in the free Kontakt Player)
