Who is Dropkick for?
Dropkick was created for sound designers and producers of electronic-based music. We tested it and tuned it to work well across multiple genres, including EDM, Drum & Bass, Techno, Trap, House and more. We packed so much into a single plugin to give you the ultimate kick toolkit.

Each of the 8 processors has a lot going on under the hood, more than meets the eye. They have been meticulously crafted and finetuned to the point that each of them could have been a one-knob plugin in their own right, but here you get them all because we like to spoil you!

Power and Focus
Using a high-pass filter to enhance the low end seems counterintuitive. However, this technique has been used by professional sound designers and mixing engineers for many years. Setting the filter's frequency at the fundamental and adding a little resonance not only boosts the bass but also removes unwanted sub-harmonics. Dropkick takes this technique to the next level as its surgical peak can resonate a single frequency. This makes it possible to strengthen and extend the fundamentals.

Phase Warp
Offset the lower frequencies to shape the character of the transient and lower the peak level. This concept is not new. However, Dropkick takes it up a notch by using analogue-modelled filters, creating non-linearities that make for extremely smooth transitions and a little extra warmth, too. Like the other processors in Dropkick, these filters have been fine-tuned to work well on kick drums to get you in the sweetspot faster.

Control the Power
DAMP progressively removes higher frequencies while still allowing the transient to cut through letting you to reshape the frequency content of your kicks. CLEAN dynamically removes boxiness and muddiness freeing up precious headroom and helping the kick to translate better in the mix. TRIM shortens the lenght of the kick tail to keep it tight and prevent boominess. Simply listen in realtime and adjust a single knob until you acheive the perfect balance.

Get More Punch
SNAP enhances the attack and punch of the kick using an advanced transient processor that dynamically shapes the attack stage based on frequency content, fine-tuned for kicks. This technique delivers maximum punch with minimal increase in peak level, helping you kicks cut through the mix.

Enhance
FIRE uses psychoacoustic techniques to enhance the sound of the kick. The low end is re-synthesized and harmonically enhanced while The mid and high frequencies are processed with analog-modelled saturation adding warmth and brighness. OVER is a dynamics processor based on an "over the top" compression technique, that has been fine-tuned for kicks. It brings out high end detail and tames the mids, while stabalising low end dynamics.

No iLok, no dongle nor internet access is required for activation. Our software uses licence files to activate your software. You can freely use the purchased software on all your computers as long as you are the user.

Realistic 3D yet flexible GUI
The photorealistic graphic user interface of the plugin gives you the feeling you are touching the real hardware. But it easily adapts to your needs. You can always drag the arrow in the bottom right corner to change its size - make it smaller to save valuable screen space, or enlarge it to make it easier to use.

x64: VST3, VST2, .aaxplugin | x86: VST3, VST2

*All plugin binaries of each architecture are the same
exactly, byte-for-byte. x86 dll = x86 vst3, all 3 x64
are same. This means that you can symlink, say, if
you install for Pro Tools - delete PT .aaxplugin
file, drop symlink from x64 VST3 and then rename
the dropped symlink to .aaxplugin so it appears
as before you deleted the original. Rock on!

The moral of the story is that you only need
one actual copy of each architecture on the system,
if you want to save space and make defragments
lighter. One install won't do it, but it's a mentality. ;)
