New Rachel is a new version of the display serif typeface Rachel (2015) designed by Danilo De Marco. Many letters have been redesigned maintaining the main features of the font. The design of the letters is inspired by Bodoni designed by Giambattista Bodoni and Lapidary Roman typefaces.

As in Bodoni characters, Rachel has a strong contrast between thin and thick rods. The axes are exactly perpendicular to the X and Y axes, unlike humanist fonts.

Some letter is characterized by round inserted into the ends. Letters such as "Q" and "g" are characterized by strong drawing and soft curves.
