MyFonts - Chaco Font Family
MyFonts - Chaco Font Family
The Chaco family features TypeTogether’s standard Latin character set, with support for over 150 Latin-based languages and Vietnamese. Chaco is a full-fledged, multipurpose font created to optimise legibility even in extremely poor reading conditions: distant road signage on foggy days, increased word length in small spaces, memorable branding and identity packages in crowded markets, and reversed-out colour printing on imperfect substrates. The bold and contemporary Chaco family has been designed to convincingly succeed where so many other sans typefaces flounder.

MyFonts - Gum Rally AOE Font Family
https://www.myfonts.com/collections/gum-rally-aoe-font-astigmatic
Spawned by my love of movie titling comes the Gum Rally AOE family, inspired by the opening of the Gumball Rally film from 1976. The film contains three unique dot matrix style lettering examples: from the beefy title text which is the regular style of the family, to the Mini style which is only seen in the credits for the word "THE" with decorative marks t the left and right of it, and the Credits style which has unusual cuts taken out of various dot matrix letters and is seen listing the credits of the movie.

MyFonts - Data Error AOE Pro Font Family
MyFonts - Data Error AOE Pro Font Family
https://www.myfonts.com/collections/data-error-aoe-pro-font-astigmatic
The Data Error AOE Family was one of my earliest typefaces, at a time when I had become obsessed with all forms of "digital/techology" typestyles. It's been awhile since the early 2000's, but I've had a hankering for awhile now to revisit this typeface, giving it a more expansive language character set and fill it out with some Opentype features. Inspired by some old printouts of BASIC programs and an Atari 1050 Disk Drive manual with pin printer examples, comes the familiar yet oddly restricted style with this Data Error family. This family comes complete with Regular and Bold versions with their respective Oblique versions. Odd pin printer restrictions inherent in this typeface are: no characters extend below baseline or above ascender line, (except international accents).

Sarahedmunds - Milan Fashion Editorial with Godox
Sarahedmunds - Milan Fashion Editorial with Godox
https://sarahedmunds.live/programs/milan-fashion-editorial
In this video, Sarah discusses her experience with a recent photoshoot, aiming to create a fashion editorial with a compelling narrative, using Godox lighting equipment. The focus was on experimenting with different lighting techniques, contrasting traditional soft lighting with the current trend of direct, harsh on-camera flash reminiscent of paparazzi style, which is gaining popularity in fashion and weddings. The discussion covers various setups, including a mix of projector snoot and soft light, natural light evaluation, and the intentions behind the editorial theme crafted by a hired stylist. The stylist conceived a 'getting ready' story for a wedding, involving models portraying a bride and bridesmaids on a "bachelorette" evening, with the twist that they decide to stay in and have fun instead of going out on the town. Sarah also discusses how she achieved motion blur, when she uses TTL (Through The Lens) metering for on-camera flash vs manual, and flash blended with ambient light for a desirable fashion aesthetic. Additionally, she describes post-processing techniques that emulate a film look, including grain addition and adjustments to mimic typical film exposure errors. The narrative concludes with a discussion on staying relevant by adapting to current trends and the importance of collaboration in creative projects.

Sarahedmunds - Fine Art Fashion
Sarahedmunds - Fine Art Fashion
https://sarahedmunds.live/programs/fine-art-fashion-retouching-tutorial
In this video Sarah takes a raw camera image and turns it into a polished piece of art using Lightroom and Photoshop. She starts by adjusting the white balance to cool down the image's temperature using the dropper tool and enhances details in the outfit and background by modifying shadows, clarity, and saturation. The then moves to Photoshop to remove unwanted shadows and other elements using Generative Fill, showing off the new updates to the PRW 1.4, and fixing garment issues to make the dress look more appealing. Then she retouches the skin, using frequency separation for smoothing and texturizing skin, then dodge and burn for contouring and depth. Additional steps involve applying makeup digitally, adjusting the subject's proportions through liquify, and enhancing the photo's atmosphere by applying backgrounds, textures, and lighting effects.

The Gnomon Workshop - Maya for Animators: Body Mechanics
https://thegnomonworkshop.com/tutorials/maya-for-animators-body-mechanics

In this intermediate-level workshop, following on from Introduction to Maya for Animators, Erik Castillo explores the core principles that bring animated characters to life.
