Theater and dance troupe "Pilobolus Dance Theatre" was established in 1971. During the years of existence, the team gathered conceivable award in dance. Members of the troupe can be created from all sorts of shapes of their bodies, demonstrating mastery of the human body. At this time, "Pilobolus" swung to the alphabet. In collaboration with photographer John Kane, they created the alphabet of the "living" characters to use these images in the book. Four days were spent in the studio, where their bodies from the twisted letters of the alphabet. Next to each letter in the book will be depicted object, beginning with that letter. Pictures of objects whose names begin with that letter, also "paint" dancers.
