Inspired by the beautifully irregular halftone screens from vintage posters, punk rock photocopies and comic books — we created the Halftone Illustrator Tint Pack. If you’d like to give your print or web artwork some real texture, our Tint Pack is just what the doctor ordered. The Halftone Illustrator Tint Pack is comprised of seamlessly-tiled pattern swatches. Just open our file from the swatch panel in illustrator — then select them as you would any swatch. Because they're tiled, they will instantaneously fill your object; you will NEVER "run out" of background. And, our swatches are composed of patterns sufficiently big to avoid that "repeating" look. NOT a bunch of random grungy halftones — the Halftone Illustrator Tint Pack contains a full-range of tint patterns, from light to dark, in smooth 10% increments (plus a 5% tint). Each year whalers from Japan kill more than 1000 whales. Japan says that the killing of whales is a ‘cherished Japanese tradition’, and that it is taking ‘scientific data’. A portion of the whale meat is canned and marketed as ‘traditional food’. How sad is that? A huge whale being reduced to a chunk in a can… Canned Whale is a hand drawn, outline style font with a cartoonesque twist to it. Carte Blanche literally means ‘Blank Ticket’. Yeah, yeah, it is also a very 007-ish catchphrase, but I wanted to give this elegant font a ‘stylish’ name and Carte Blanche popped up. The chestnut (“castanea”) is one of my favorite trees. I used to collect the chestnuts and made chestnut-figurines out of them, using bamboo sate skewers. Castanea font is a calligraphic typeface with an uneven baseline and some messy characters - not unlike the tree. It is a highly legible, highly enjoyable font and could be used for children’s books and postcards. Castanea comes with various alternate glyphs and speaks most Roman-based languages!
