In this series of tutorials we will learn how to model a complex architectural scene and optimize it for quick editing and rendering. Throughout these lessons we will go through the steps of creating a complex architectural scene in a way that makes it quick to create, easy to edit, and fast to render. We will learn about the various modeling techniques essential to architectural workflows, including terrain, cities, polygon modeling, splines and nurms smoothing, as well as optimization techniques such as using proxies and XRef scenes. By the end you will be able to handle any scale of architectural project and easily complete them within very short deadlines. In this tutorial we will learn how to create a gruesome, yet convincing skin infection. We'll focus on the areas that will help sell our shot and bring realism to our motion tracked footage. We'll begin by looking at the tone of our project and create an effect of skin tearing using CINEMA 4D's cloth module. Then, we will create animated tentacles to give the sense of movement within our wound. Finally, we will hone in on our materials and lighting to make our infection seem life like, then bring it all together in After Effects. By the end of this tutorial, will we have an 'outside of the box' understanding of CINEMA 4D's cloth and a working knowledge of integrating a CG element into a motion tracked plate. Software required: CINEMA 4D 15, After Effects, and Photoshop CC.

Throughout these lessons we will dive into Photoshop's many capabilities, including the paths and brush tools, to create a footwear concept design for industrial use. Using these specific tools, Photoshop will help us create a visually appealing and very realistic looking piece of footwear. Focusing on highlights and shadows, we will cover how to add shape and depth to your rendering. By the end of this tutorial you will have full knowledge of how to create materials and add finite details to create an excellent overall final render. Software required: Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, Adobe Illustrator CS5.1.

This course is ideal for designers who are interested in learning the tools and techniques used while creating effective advertisement designs. We approach the project with a hypothetical client in mind, and cover the concepts related to how designers make educated decisions over the course of an entire project. Over the duration of this course, we'll cover various tools within Illustrator and Photoshop that you can use to create your layout. We'll then demonstrate how the two programs can work side-by-side to make your workspace more efficient. Shortly after, we dive into some layout design and create our advertisement. It's not uncommon to have a round of revisions, so we'll cover that too. Finally, we'll wrap the whole thing up with a final press check and get it ready for print.
