When we are learning how to control the brightness of our photographs in camera, the two basic options for us are Aperture and Shutter Speed. You may have already taken our class on “Understanding Aperture”. This class is dedicated to explaining what Shutter Speed is and the Way we can use it for creative photography.
I think that shutter speed is the most creative option we have as photographers. An understanding of it is critical in exposing, using flash, astro-photography, candid and street photography, sports, dance, portrait, wedding, still life, commercial, art and every other genre of photography that we choose.
