Learn to tell the difference in sound between a sine wave, square wave, triangle wave, sawtooth wave, and more - a crucial factor in understanding how to build sounds of your own. Then discover the two available filters, their differences and similarities, and how they can interact to create harmonically-rich tones.

Next, explore the filter envelope and learn how it affects the cutoff frequency of the filter, along with the amp envelope, which allows for precise control of a note's volume through its duration. Taken together, these two controls form the bulk of the sonic-shaping power.
