For the class project you'll be taking one photograph (ideally a portrait) and re-imagine it as a cool double exposure movie poster.

'll be using a website called www.unsplash.com which has high resolution images you can use for anything you'd like as long as it's non-commercial use. Browse thru the images and choose a few landscape, abstract or architectural photos you think you'll like to blend with your portraits.

The great thing about this effect is that we'll be compositing in After Effects. You could tweak your design any number of ways to create something that pleases you.

Project Steps

You can quickly and easily get your project going right away with these 4 simple steps:

  1. Pick a portrait you like ( maybe it's your own, or maybe it's Ryan Gosling) and post it to your project page.
  2. Composite your portrait and post it to the project page as a still image. Include any inspiration you found to help other students get creative.
  3. Animate your portrait and post a still image of the composition.
  4. Finally, post a looping video to your project page.
