Frequency Separation is a retouching technique among professional retouchers and some photographers that allows you to separate details in your image like colors and textures while retaining your details. However, this technique does not have to be used on every image you do and is mostly used in fashion or editorial.
I will go step-by-step in this short class on how to create your own Frequency Separation action to save yourself time in your workflow. I will also show you how I use it to retouch my portraits, so that you can take what you've seen and apply it to your own work.
