Get off Auto Mode! Learn the camera controls you need to take amazing photographs. DSLR, Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus

You have a nice camera - a Digital SLR or a all-in-one digital camera with controls - that probably cost you a lot of money. You think it should do more than your phone or a simple point-and-shoot - and it does! But since you got the camera, and the thick manual, with tiny type, that came with the camera you've been stuck on Auto mode.

Look at your camera - it probably has a wheel near the shutter button, maybe even two. It has a dial on top with colors, letters, and maybe little pictures. And on the back of the camera there is yet another kind of dial that rotates or goes up-down right-left, and more buttons all over the place. And if that isn't enough, you have a menu that has lots of sections; and each section has a long list of choices.

That's OK, because in one hour I'm going to teach you what you need to know to take great pictures. You will learn the two most important ways to use the Shutter, and the two most important ways to use the Aperture. And that's it - that’s all you need to take amazing pictures. With the techniques I’m going to teach you, you'll be shooting like a pro in no time.
