Styling of the product shot is critical. Great lighting won’t make a good shot if styling was not good.
Color of the table/background should compliment the subject and each other.
Examine surface of your subject and lit it accordingly: glossy parts would require large reflectors and more diffused lights, matte and textured surface would benefit from sharp light at sharp angles.
Do not crop too tight, leave more room for subject to “breathe”
100% black background may not work well with white shooting table. Consider to add a gradient lighting to it.
