In this class I show you some simple tricks to use the “wiggle” expression in After Effects to create nice random / irregular changes to properties like: Position, Rotation and Opacity, without the use of Key-frames.
With this technique you can bring a static scene to life, without the need to add a lot off Key-frames. I provide all the project files with and without the effect, so that you can try it out without the need to design something yourself.
Based on some simple examples I will show you the possibilities and the power of this technique.
For example:
- How to make the leaves of a tree move in the wind
- Making a simple graphic equalizer
- The flickering of a candle
(I kept my graphics very basic, because it isn’t about how nice it looks, but what you can with it :) )
(Also compatible with After Effects CS6)
