Because it has no single common cause, the prevention and treatment of this potentially damaging state of mind can vary dramatically. For example, a lonely child who struggles to make friends at school has different needs than a lonely older adult whose spouse has recently died. While common definitions of loneliness describe it as a state of solitude or being alone, loneliness is actually a state of mind. Loneliness causes people to feel empty, alone, and unwanted. People who are lonely often crave human contact, but their state of mind makes it more difficult to form connections with other people.Researchers suggest that loneliness is associated with social isolation, poor social skills, introversion, and depression.Loneliness, according to many experts, is not necessarily about being alone. Instead, if you feel alone and isolated, then that is how loneliness plays into your state of mind. For example, a college freshman might feel lonely despite being surrounded by roommates and other peers. A soldier bning their military career might feel lonely after being deployed to a for country, despite being constantly surrounded by other troop members. This course is created by Vyas Psychology Training Centre Overview Section 1: Introduction Lecture 1 Introduction Lecture 2 Flow of the course Lecture 3 Attachment styles Lecture 4 Characteristics of attachment Lecture 5 Identifying the obstacle Lecture 6 Know your strengths Lecture 7 Writing the story Lecture 8 Identifying the challenges Lecture 9 Attachment style of family members Lecture 10 Additional activity Lecture 11 Finding your satisfaction Lecture 12 Why do I feel desperation Lecture 13 I dont really need Lecture 14 Person Lecture 15 Healing your injuries Lecture 16 Experiencing vs addicting Lecture 17 Experience Lecture 18 Useful meditation Lecture 19 Additional activities Lecture 20 Understanding your goal Lecture 21 Hapiness and Sadness Lecture 22 I am smart Lecture 23 Finding your satisfaction Lecture 24 Healing Lecture 25 Naming my social fears Lecture 26 Social Priortizing Lecture 27 Cultivating Lecture 28 Forgiving your Lecture 29 Approaching insecurities Lecture 30 Meditation for self Lecture 31 Sleeping well Lecture 32 Music Lecture 33 Locating Beauty Lecture 34 Applying the foundation Lecture 35 What are your social Lecture 36 If you get Lecture 37 Meeting people Lecture 38 Emotional Openness Lecture 39 Becoming free Lecture 40 Ten Minutes If you are dealing with loneliness,If you are a counselor HomePage:
