Windows 2003 Server Clustering| ISO | 2.34 GB
Genre: Video Training
The cluster team is responsible for providing and evangelizing a distributed platform for building fault-tolerant, disaster-tolerant, highly available, and scalable applications with integrated support for monitoring the health of hardware components and software services. The platform supports policies to failover applications in the event of planned or unplanned outages as well as ensuring efficient and scalable resource usage by optimizing placement of applications.
*What are Server Clusters?
A server cluster (MSCS) is a collection of servers that together provide a single, highly available platform for hosting applications. Applications can be failed over (i.e., restarted or hosted elsewhere) to ensure high availability in the event of planned downtime due to maintenance or unplanned downtime due to hardware, OS or application failures. Server clusters provide a highly available platform for applications such as SQLServer, Exchange Server data stores, or file and print servers.
