A guide to quickly learn to make music in Garageband.
Making music can better the quality of ones life. Music is all around us and you don't have to be a great musician or have room full of musical gear in order to benefit from making music.
In Quickstart to Garageband, we will use the low cost, and usually free software, Garageband to make music. This course covers the basics to get you up and running so you can start creating your own music. We will not cover every tiny detail within Garageband, but do an overview of the details needed so you can start exploring Garageband confidently on your own.

This course is for Garageband beginners who want to learn the essential skills needed to use Garageband to make their own music. We will use screen captures to show you examples on how to use Garageband.
Contents and Overview
In over an hour of content, this course covers the necessary skills to make their own music in Garageband.
Upon completion students will be able to navigate the workspace while creating new projects and new tracks within the project. Students will understand how to create and edit drum parts using Garageband's drummer track. Once done with that, we will focus on adding backing tracks to a song using the built in loop browser to add piano, bass and a flute to the drummer track to fill out the arrangement. We will then plug in a guitar and discuss recording audio. Finally the student will look at recording and editing garageband's virtual instruments.
