This flexibility exercises part two of Kalarippayattu consist of two significant practices, such as Kalukal and Vadivukal. In this course, six major leg raising were explained inside the session Kalukal and eight sitting postures described inside the session Vadivukal. In general, though, rocks and trees are the most powerful elements inside the natural world. How do they have a terrible strength? This is not a universal truth, through posture but, we do attain the power through silent, consistent sitting postures like a rock or a tree. In kalarippayattu, eight postures are known as ashta vadivukal. Ashta means eight and vadivu means the posture. They are GAJA-VADIVU, means Elephant posture, SIMHA-VADIVU means Lion posture, ASHVA-VADIVU means the Horse posture, KUKKUDA-VADIVU means Wild Cockerel posture, VARAHA-VADIVU means Wild Boar posture, MAYOORA-VADIVU the posture of Peacock, MATSYA-VADIVU the posture of fish, and at last Serpent posture called SARPA-VADIVU. All the postures are applied within kalarippayattu applications such as meithari, kolthari, angathari, etc. Practitioners must stay maximum time in each posture. For this part II exercise, it is essential to have knowledge of Kalari Yoga and Kalarippayattu warm-up exercises Part I. Learners must do both sessions before practicing this second session.
