In the first half of the class, we will explore several ways to leverage all seven techniques I'll be teaching you :

• Ways to preserve, lift, repel, remove, increase light and shadow.


• Ways to balance and apply color.

In the second half of the class, we will create a beautiful autumn landscape with a great play of light and shadow. To do this, we will :

• Conduct a reference photo study


• Draw a sketch and prep it for painting


• Mix great colors to render the light and shadow

Then we will start painting and I'll show you exactly in which way I tackle the light and shadow and why and how to use some of the techniques shown earlier in the class.
