One of the most valuable new features introduced in TFS is support for Git Source Code Control, which is different from TFS's native source code control. Visual Studio Online provides integrated support for Git. Unlike TFS Version Control, Git is a distributed version control system. This means that each developer has their own source code repository that they can branch and merge from. From there, changes to a developer’s repository are pushed (merged) to a remote repository in Visual Studio Online. This session introduces you to the Git workflow and Visual Studio Online’s support for the same.
