he beautiful city of Jaipur in India is famous for the ancient art of Blue Pottery. These intricate designs a great source of artistic inspiration, and the continue to influence trends in fashion and home decor.   Jaipur Blue Pottery is also similar to Chinese Blue Pottery and Delftware, but of course, with more emphasis on traditional motifs and symbols of cultural significance in India.   In this class, we are taking inspiration from this art style and giving it a modern twist in Procreate!

Why Procreate?

By doing this digitally on Procreate, we can eliminate the limitations that come with traditional mediums. For example, we can build our designs in layers, change the scale of our motifs, and even change the colors quickly to create multiple variations and combinations. 

So, no more messy inks or paints to worry about—just you, your stylus, and a whole lot of artistic adventure!

What You’ll Learn: 

In this class, we’ll be developing two projects:

1. For the first project, I’ll be showing you some interesting Zentangle patterns that look very similar to traditional Blue Pottery motifs. So if you are already familiar with the Zentangle method, this will help you to expand your knowledge of various tangles. 
2. And in the second project, we’ll develop our own motifs inspired by real flowers, while still maintaining the essence and characteristics of Blue Pottery designs.
