Little disclaimer: This is more of a theoretical course, which I originally created as a talk for a conference. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the show!

As a discipline that’s still on the rise, UX Writing is rich in career switchers and people who have a high interest in learning more about the principles, rules, and best practices of the craft.

The good news: The Internet is full of valuable resources that help us to improve our UX Writing skills – from online courses to tutorials, from blog posts to ebooks.

However, even though non-English resources and platforms are slowly emerging, the majority of the learning material is still available in English only.

But how does this affect non-native English-speaking UX Writers?

What is easier, what is harder for us?

What are the advantages and disadvantages that multilingual UX Writers have over native-only writers?

What are helpful strategies to make the best out of a multilingual working and learning context in UX Writing?

What you will learn

In this course, we will talk about how being a non-native English-speaking UX Writer affects our working and learning in the field, and how reflecting on specific strengths, difficulties and hurdles can help us to unfold our true potential.
