Teresa Martínez, a child illustrator with more than 15 years of experience, who has seen her work published by international publishers such as SM, Editorial Castillo or Macmillan, is a faithful believer that the illustrator is a second storyteller in a story. His job is to retell a story, complementing the text and enriching it through the image.
In this course, she will teach you how to illustrate a children's story digitally, creating attractive images for children and young people, using the tools provided by Photoshop. You will begin by getting to know the work of Teresa Martínez, who will also tell you about the illustrators and artists that inspire her day by day. Then, he will explain three different ways to reinterpret a text with images and he will talk about the basic principles of composition. Next, you will learn how to make a storyboard that will help you sell your work better and present your project to the editor. To do this, you will choose one of the scenes in the story and start creating your sketch. Then, you will study the values. Teresa will explain the basic principles of color theory, which will help you to choose, consciously and correctly, the chromatic range of your illustration. Once you have it clear, you will get to work on your illustration with Photoshop. You will work the lights and shadows; you will add textures and pay special attention to some elements that will help to balance the composition. Lang: Spanish w Eng Subtitles
