Sometimes we find ourselves doing the same task over and over again in Photoshop. There is a way to make your workflow more robust and faster, using adobe scripts. In this class, I will show you how you can write a script that will create a new file, paste an image from another file, add a text overlay, and save. On top of that, you will also learn how to write a loop that will repeat this process for all the files in a folder.

I can't wait to se you in class!

A great way to see what you can do with scripts is to read the official Adobe documentation. Here is the link:

What to do if you get stuck:

Double check your work against the files I provided here. javascript is a fickle beast, so making sure you are using the correct capitalization, and the correct variable names. Many a programming hour have been spent chasing down a missing semicolon.

Google the error message you are getting. Usually, someone has had the same issue before you and has asked the same question of the internet. Adobe has a community that answers questions regarding photoshop and script specific issues. For javascript, Stackoverflow, is a great resource.
