Description
Blender is a powerful open-source solution for 2D and 3D modeling, animation, compositing, and post-production. In this course, get a thorough overview of the feature set in Blender 2.91 and beyond, as well as practical production techniques that combine know-how with a healthy dose of how-to. Instructor David Andrade dives into specific techniques, such as scene layout and modeling, sculpting, texturing and shading, 2D and 3D animation, character rigging, dynamic simulations, rendering, and game engine exporting. Plus, get performance-boosting tricks to get Blender to render your creations even faster. Each lesson helps you gain the control and skill you need to create professional artwork for multiple platforms: games, movies, and animation.
Instructor's Note: Welcome to the Blender Essential Training for the 2.9X series of releases. Blender is an open source, powerful solution for creating 2D and 3D art. From modeling, animation, compositing, simulation, post-production, and even drawing, Blender has it all. This course is a full update to our previous Blender 2.83 Essential Training. This time around, we're going to focus on producing an animated scene, and we're going to assume that you've never used Blender before. We'll start from the basics, like how to use the interface and navigate around. By the first hour, you'll have completed a rendered scene. Then we'll move on to modeling and sculpting, creating a fish character that we'll later rig and animate. And then we'll create a 3D bowl, add some rocks and a volcano that'll be used as our scene's backdrop. In texturing, we'll explore the vast array of notes that Blender has available to us to create shaders, and we'll even paint our own texture all inside of Blender. Then we'll animate our fish character and explore the awesome power of the two render engines, EEVEE and Cycles, and mix it all with a little bit of fire and some particle bubbles. With each lesson you will gain new skills and masteries that'll let you create professional artwork for multiple industries, like games, movies, and animation. All right, I hope you're excited because I'm excited to teach this course. Let's get blending.
