Art Composition is one of those things which seems easy to define at first until we realise it's something that is open to interpretation. This inevitably makes it a pretty challenging area of illustration and painting to learn. In this first lesson on Art Composition we'll start by breaking down what Composition is, before moving onto establishing some of the basic principles involved. We'll learn about the Primaries of Design, how to establish Context and Meaning to our ideas, and talk about how to establish a Dominant Subject and lead the audiences eye. All of this will be capped off by some demonstrations and a series of assignments for you to complete. Only thing required is paper and any old pencil, brush or pen you have around you. if you've ever been confused as to how to start learning about composition then let's get started!
