
Today's class introduces using lines in abstract paintings, not a a way to depict images, but to: Class is designed using a three step prompt to challenge you to create a finished painting using subtle colors, gentle shapes, and leading lines. This class is geared towards beginning watercolor artists, as well as beginner abstract artists. There is a Class Supply List available for download, along with a Prompt Overview Sheet that may be helpful for students to view along with class. The Class Demo uses watercolor paints, watercolor paper, a dip pen, and India ink. However, alternatives for the ink are discussed in class and include watercolors and a thin brush, a marker, or gel pen.
