In this class students will learn how the features change to convey a convincing smile expression. This class, which is for artists of all levels, will cover the fundamentals of the construction and anatomy of the eyes, nose and mouth, the proportions of the face, as well as the subtle and fleeting nuances that affect the features to portray a smiling expression. I'll walk you through the stages starting with blocking in the basic proportions of the face, then mapping in the shadow patterns, and finally moving to refinements. You can use any materials you'd like in this class. By the end you will have a solid understanding of how to render the dynamic smiling facial expression.
