Have you ever come across fun typography and artistic letters and wanted to make your own, but didn't know where to start? Modular Typography is a simple and easy-to-learn technique for making intricate and theme-based typefaces from scratch.

This class was made for beginners. Even if you have no knowledge of typography or Adobe Illustrator, this class will be easy to follow, and you'll be making fantastic typographic work of your own in no time!

In this class, we will go through:

Learning to see stroke-based and grid-based modularity in typefaces

Understanding the underlying structural components of the Latin (English) alphabet

Using a pencil and paper to sketch out rough modules for development

Building several types of modules in Adobe Illustrator, and incorporating simplified illustrations

Using our modules to build letters, and ultimately - the typeface!
