In this class, we will focus on the basics of botanical line art, learning how to draw, ink, and shade flowers. We will learn how to use fineliners to achieve different gradients of light and shadow in petals and leaves. We’ll be able to draw any flower by breaking it down into simple shapes. Finally, we’ll make a composition with the flowers that we’d learned to draw as the class project.

To take this class you don’t need to have prior experience in drawing botanicals, or drawing at all. You’ll be guided through every step of the process to learn to draw beautiful flowers.

This class is intended to give the first steps into botanical line art to achieve beautiful floral compositions that you can give as a present to friends or family, or even yourself.
