
In this class, you will learn four simple and effective shading techniques for designs in Illustrator. You will learn to shade half a shape and how to choose colors to use that will make your image more easily editable in future. You'll learn to create a custom stipple shading brush, to save it and use it to shade a shape. You will learn to cut a shape up to make highlights and shadows and how to build a more organic shading effect.
As with every Illustrator for Lunch™ class there are heaps of tips, tricks and techniques covered that will help you build your skills in Illustrator. You'll learn a range of techniques for cutting shapes in Illustrator and some things to look out for when cutting shapes in half. You'll learn about Global Colors and tints so that you can add shadows and highlights that change automatically when the base color changes. By the time you have completed this class you will have added a range of new skills to your Illustrator toolkit and you'll be able to add shading detail to shapes in Illustrator in a number of ways.
