This class will walk you through some of the basics of illustrative storytelling. We'll start by brainstorming ideas and then going over building thumbnails. Once we've got a good thumbnail, we'll move on to developing a sketch based off of it, including adding character design and pushing the storytelling elements of background details.
We'll discuss how to clean up a sketch and polish it until it's ready to be used as a base for linework, colored, or just left as is. This class is geared toward artists with a more intermediate skill level, but this class can help push storytelling abilities for anyone that draws.
