Life's short. Stop reworking drafts. Get fast decisions instead. Too many executives spend their nights and weekends reworking important communication multiple times and still don't get the results they need. As one executive said to me: before we did your course, we thought writing reports was a chore. He said: "Papers have exponentially improved. Decisions and discussion have improved and the time taken to get to a final position has reduced, in part due to the quality of papers and the improved understanding imparted on the reader. "What started as a "chore" / "waste of time", has now become the way we work. We are all better for it." This course helps you clarify and communicate high-quality messaging no matter the ambiguity of the situation or the complexity of material. Here is how it works. How to Write Great Board Reports teaches you how to prepare better papers and presentations for communicating with senior leaders and Boards. You will learn how to: Flush out your communication strategy to confirm the value your communication must deliver for you, your team and your organisation. Frame your message using one of 10 potential patterns, rather than starting from scratch. Firm up your messaging by iterating around a tightly structured one-pager, to avoid drowning in the minutiae of comments and Tracked Changes. Finalise your document, whether that be a prose paper or report, or a PowerPoint presentation. Feed back and feed forward to incorporate learnings from one presentation to the next so you get better and better results over time.
