Learn how to create a parallax effect in After Effects
Learn how to go beyond the simple parallax effect in our 14 lessons course. The total watch time is about 2.5 hours (10-15 min per lesson). In this course, you’ll learn different parallax techniques including: – Camera Projection – Displacement – 2.5D – Vanishing Point – Puppet – Optics The course was created by Cameron Pierron, an award-winning motion designer and animator, and founder of Motion Science with an experience of more than 20 years. You’ll get all the course materials and will be able to follow your instructor step by step. Materials include raw files as well as the final project. The main software is After Effects CC or higher. You’ll need Photoshop CC or higher for the first 2 lessons (1 of 7 parallax techniques). Some lessons use third-party plugins: Optical flares by VideoCopilot (paid) Saber Video Copilot (free) Red giant plugin suite Universe (free trial) Please note you can follow most of the course even if you don’t have those plugins. They only provide a few finishing touches in 3 out of 14 lessons. The course teaches you the fundamentals of the parallax effect and it will work without those plugins. The difficulty is Beginner-Intermediate. The language is English.
