Paint fun and traditional Christmas images of jolly Santa Claus and his wife Mrs. Claus in this beginner level watercolor class. Each image can be traced from the downloadable template, and then modified further, by changing the eye shape, adding or removing glasses, and altering the overall shape. Both Santa and Mrs. Claus have rounded features, sparkly eyes, and classic colors that are part of the Christmas fairy tale. In class, we’ll work on painting “whites” or rather, painting shadows to show whites in the beard and hair. Using light colors, we can trick the eye into seeing white, while establishing boundaries.
