After 22 years as head chef at the iconic Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, Cal Peternell left and teamed up with audio producer Kristina Loring to work on a new venture, a podcast called “Cooking By Ear.” In each episode, Cal visits the kitchen of a famous friend, like Frances McDormand and Alexander Payne, where they talk about everything from food to family to poetry to film.
