Captions is a pure cooperation between HTML and CSS . Expect fast load times and full accessibility with javascript disabled.
Html5shiv is included to enable Internet Explorer 8 and lower to recognize HTML5 elements. No worries, it doesn’t get loaded in other browsers.
Important notes
The CSS3 appear and push effects work in Webkit browsers (like Safari and Chrome), Firefox 4+ and Opera 11+
The CSS3 flip effect works in Webkit browsers
