Aaroh Sitar
WAV | 917.16 MB
Renowned for its distinctive shape, a sitar may have as few as 18 or as many as 21 metal strings. The drone and sympathetic strings resonate with the played strings, giving the sitar its mesmerizing sound and creating an otherworldly, mystical mood. The result is an ethereal, delicate, and shimmery timbre, providing hypnotic textures to weave into your productions like a rich tapestry.
Beyond its traditional role in classical Indian music and prevalent role in modern music made for yoga and meditation, the sitar has also found its place in contemporary and fusion genres, making it a versatile instrument for musical experimentation and collaborations. Listen to the demo to spark some inspiration.
Stacked with over 400 loops and one-shots, this pack was produced and performed by Mehtab Ali Niazi, Son and disciple of Ustad Mohsin Ali Khan, belonging to the Moradabad Bhendi Bazar Gharana. Niazi recorded these sounds in Mumbai’s Island City Studios using an array of microphones and preamps.
