Processing of images he made with the help of landscape modeling program Terragen. He worked with different versions of this program since 1999.
Most of the images was done by digital simulation of heights on NASA images obtained from various satellites, such as, Mars Global Surveyor.
Kees Veenenbos created many illustrations for National Geographic: images of Mars, an old woman, the Earth and other planets in the solar system and extrasolar planets.
