- Johann Elias Ridinger 1698-1767 German painter and engraver on copper, has spent most of his life in Augsburg and a former director with the 1759 Augsburg Academy of Art. Pupil first Hr.Resha, in Ulm, and then I. Falke and Rugendasa, in Augsburg, he devoted himself to the image of domestic and wild animals of the landscape, and reached perfection in the transmission of a rare type, nature and movement of deer and wild boar.
