In an effort to perform, we often narrow our focus on the course in a way that invites both poorer performance and less enjoyment. In this course, we explore the skills of mental "practice" that allow for better scores and a heightened experience. The first secret is making the swing the least important part of the round. Instead, make it the focus point around which your process is built and implemented. Success then becomes about following the process or practices you've built and the swing becomes your "time at school". There is both more joy and more potential performance in this orientation. It turns out, the same things that will help you perform better in this way are the practices that will help you perform better in your career and personal relationships. And you don't have to wait for weeks or months to see the benefits ... they are immediately available.
This course is about raising the floor of your performance ... or getting the most out of your current skill/capabilities. The vast majority of golfers will see more benefit from avoiding or eliminating the double bogeys (& worse) in your round than chasing birdies. And that is mostly a function of what is happening in your head as expressed through the tension in your body than it is about the technical perfection of your swing.
