Thanks for joining me in in my lesson on watercolor. I'm Michelle, and I am a semi-professional artist living in Rome. In this lesson, we'll be painting Ponte Vecchio (Florence). I'll show you how I go about adding depth and texture to the buildings and water, which colours I mix. This lesson is probably for intermediate levels, but have a go anyway!! I know my lessons aren't quick, but my aim is to give you as much information as possible and show you my process.

Here is a list of the materials I use:

• Arches or Fabriano Artistico 300 gram (or heavier) semi-rough paper (quarter sheet)


• Light Cobalt blue


• Cobalt Turquoise


• Phtalo Blue


• Ultramarine Blue


• Cinerous Blue (optional!)


• Naples Yellow


• Yellow Ocre


• Cadmium Orange


• Cadmium Red


• Alizarin Crimson


• Raw Siena


• Sepia


• Neutral Tint


• Titanium White


• Have at least a small brush for details, a large round brush for washes, and a medium brush.
