This class teaches the very basics of Adobe Illustrator. I am a self-taught Surface Pattern Designer and I struggled with learning Adobe Illustrator.  This is the class I wished I had taken when I  first started to learn Adobe Illustrator. While this class is taught through the lens of Surface Pattern Design it is a great class for anyone wanting to learn or who is struggling to learn Adobe Illustrator. I start by setting up a new document, you will learn how to understand your workspace, basic tools, commands, keyboard shortcuts, shapes, making a simple motif, importing images and making a simple repeating pattern.  This class will give you a good basic foundation for Adobe Illustrator so you can move forward and take other classes in Adobe Illustrator.
