I'll take you from the very beginning, finding inspiration and art references, to first sketches and choosing a dynamic composition, then shading, color, lighting, and details that'll help your characters and stories come alive. I'll be using Procreate on an iPad, but any drawing or painting program will do. Procreate is a $10 app for the iPad that has professional-level features like those found in Photoshop without requiring a monthly subscription. When combined with the Apple pencil, it's a wonderful painting and drawing experience.

For this class, I'd like to see your fantasy work! For a long time, I felt limited in drawing realistically from references, but now that I've learned to do both, I'm never going back! My current passion is illustrating for children's books and fantasy and science fiction conventions.
