Cruising - Organ Trio Jazz  is another installment for Splice’s very own in-house jazz creator label. Unleash the classic sound of the organ trio, where the Hammond organ takes center stage, creating an irresistible blend of groove, soul, and improvisation. This release contains 15 melodic loops of organ, drums and guitar all recorded in studio featuring renowned Philadelphia based trio “The Mini Q’s.”

Jazz Organ Trio was a small ensemble typically featuring a Hammond organ, guitar, and drums, which gained widespread popularity in the 1950s significantly influenced by the groundbreaking work of jazz organist Jimmy Smith who was born right outside of Philadelphia who went on to make rounds in the city's jazz scene.

Philadelphia holds a significant place in the history of jazz organ, particularly due to the contributions of innovative musicians and the vibrant jazz scene that has thrived in the city, so it was only right for us to record at Elm Street studios on an old restored organ that was used during the heyday of the city’s jazz club scene.

This pack was produced and recorded entirely by “The Mini Q’s,” who consist of Luke O’Reilly (organ), Anwar Marshall (drums) and Ben O’Neill (guitar), a unit who has been playing together so long that you can’t help but hear their soulful synergy in these loops. The group touts extensive resumes, from touring, performing and recording with grammy award winning artists such as Marcus Miller and John Legend to name a few.

Elevate your compositions with these soulful loops featuring the unmistakable sound of the Hammond organ.
