Splice's Signal Path label is proud to present Ana Barreiro: Brazilian Percussion. LA-based drummer, composer, and music educator Ana Barreiro has deep roots in Brazilian music and Jazz. Originally from Poços de Caldas, a town located in the Southeast region of Brazil, she's learned from some of the most important music educators across Brazil and the US. Today, she teaches at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood, Stanford Jazz Camp, and Jazz Camp West in California. She has harnessed all of that extensive knowledge and experience to craft Brazilian percussion loops and one-shots for Splice creators like you to pay homage to her culture and add some Brazilian flavor to your next production.

In addition to co-leading the musical group “AmyAna” with pianist Amy K Bormet, Barreiro has performed alongside Catina deLuna and Lado B Brazilian Project, Otmaro Ruiz, Carol Bach-y-rita, Andrea Motis, Thalma de Freitas, and many more. She has performed at Washington Women in Jazz Festival, Stanford Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Filoli Jazz Festival, Jazz at LACMA, and other notable jazz fests.
